Himalayan Hatha Yoga with Pranayama by Renata
The methods used in this class have their foundation in Himalayan Hatha Yoga from an authentic source in southern India and incorporate a modern scientific understanding of physiology and anatomy. The asanas (postures) work to realign joints, activate proper muscles, and improve lymphatic and circulatory function. Pranayama (breathing) is incorporated to enhance respiratory activity, balancing the right and left hemispheres of the brain, and permitting all body systems to fully function with optimized energy flow. This practice is intended to reduce physical and mental pain, promote increased strength and power in the mind and body, and nurture self-acceptance and compassion.
Classes are suited for all levels and all age groups and will be adjusted by the instructor for every individual.
Yoga mats and props such as yoga bricks and small towels are welcome as practical tools to help the practice.
