Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division serves all City departments and citizen requests involving geographic data and mapping.
Responsibilities
The GIS Department responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administer the GIS Server Site and Enterprise Database
- Produce and Maintain Data Connections for Third Party Software Systems
- Assign and Verify Addresses
- Produce Static Hard Copy Maps and Interactive Web Maps
- Collect, Create, and Run Quality Control on Data from Plats, Plans, and GPS
- Run Data Analysis

Tools & Software
To aid in the achievement of these responsibilities the GIS department utilizes:
- ESRI products such as:
- ArcGIS for Desktop
- ArcGIS for Server
- ArcGIS Online
- Enterprise level SQL database
- HP DesignJet T2600 large format plotter with scanner
- Trimble R2 GPS Antenna
- Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor GPS Antenna
